NH Firewood is installing a kiln to dry firewood. This will enable NH Firewood to supply dry firewood year round and not have to wait for the wood to season the normal fashion.
By installing a kiln we will be able to take the moisture content of green firewood that is above 50%moisture and dry it down to 25-20% moisture content so that it will be safe to burn with less creosote.
In the process of kiln drying firewood you also kill any insects in the wood.
